How To Lose Weight Fast

For years I was a overweight kid, who used to keep his coat on at school I was so ashamed of my weight. I used to help my parents with the weekly shopping, go home and eat as well as my dinner I had already had. Being picked on at school, and jibes later on in life really didn't make me see it can all be so much better and each day with that weight off my shoulder gone for good.

now I have lost around 2 stone, I feel so much lighter and wish I had done something about it at school, but with low confidence and all sorts of other things on a kids mind, exercise for some reason didn't seem obvious. My parents are fantastic but saw it as a way of learning for myself which sounds harsh, but they meant well.

So many friends ask me whats the best way to lose weight fast and how I did it. It was my brother who is a personal Trainer who told me about the more scientific approach which is not boring, but really interesting. The diet is called the Negative Calories diet and works by introducing around 100 different types of food , which take more calories to digest than they contain themselves, and you don't end up hungry.

One main example are a handful of nuts. For people who are looking to loose weight, they think nuts are really fattening. This is true if you eat to many, but due to the type of unsaturated fat in them , they do you the world of good. Combined with a glass of water, will fill you up for a couple of hours. If you don't like nuts, then the diet contains lots more food which you do like and I love my food! now I eat when and what I want.

A lot of our friends are luckily enough to have a metabolism where they either burn off calories without even trying, very frustrating when I was starting to look into loosing weight.

It wasn't until I changed what and how I ate that things started to change and wow did they change and I don't mean just lettuce and water. I didn't need to push myself to the limit in the gym, running or even kickboxing even though I do enjoy those things now, I don't have half as much weight to carry. It's Great!

A trick I learn when looking at chocolate, biscuits and think.. hmm is to hold that chocolate or packet of biscuits in my hand and think... thats the weight which would be going on my body... mostly hips for females it seems, tummy on us guys. It actually works... 90% of the time, you put it back down again and feel great! to be able to resist and feel good about yourself.

What's best of all is, the diet actually WORKS! The program will help you loose a huge amount of weight. It works by selecting around 100 different foods which actually take more calories to digest, than they contain themselves. now I sleep without worrying, stressing and generally concerned what the dress I purchased at the weekend, actually looks on me. The History of Pilates

In order to understand the basics of Pilates and why it can work for you, you first need to understand where Pilates came from. Pilates was originally formed in germany by a man of the same name.

Pilates was designed by a man that had many health afflictions as a child. The boy wanted to overcome the hardships he faced. He hoped exercise would not only boost his morale, but also his bodys defense against his illnesses.

The year was 1880 when Joseph Pilates was born. during his youthful years, he tried a number of things to try to strengthen his body. After several failed attempts to create the perfect program for his frail form he came up with the series of movements we now know as Pilates. However, it wasnt until the 1920s that the movements Pilates created were truly perfected.

One of the things that make Pilates so great is that the movements and exercises you do seek to give you strength and flexibility, but not to build any serious amount of bulk to your frame. Pilates is not about building muscle, it is about working with your body and not against it. You need to be able to take what you have been given and make that work for you before attempting anything else and that is the philosophy that Pilates was founded on.

As you learn more about Pilates you will find that it is designed for each persons body. Pilates will align your bones through a series of movements and this will allow your body to work with less strain thanks to the activity of exercise you are achieving.

Pilates appeals to a number of people. It doesnt matter what type of person you are or what level of training your body is at. Pilates can help you improve your bodys natural functioning as well as help boost confidence and your mental well being.

The most wonderful thing you will discover about Pilates is that you dont have to suffer through the movements to feel better. You are training your body with intelligent design and therefore you will not need to work twice as hard, as you may have to do with other work out programs.

Pilates was set up to create balance within your body. This will help you to realign your bones and can also help to improve your posture. Another positive feature is the lean muscles that you will form thanks to your work outs.

Pilates is excellent exercise for everyone no matter their shape or size. In fact, many videos and exercise clubs have created classes for people with disabilities, arthritis, general strength or weight loss issues, different strength issues, and even for pregnant or birthing mothers.

In the following articles we will explain how Pilates can each help these people and what the different levels mean for people taking the classes and working on gaining strength. As you will come to see Pilates is an easy and secure exercise for everyone and once you try it you will be thankful you did.

Homemade Bodybuilding Shakes - Using Whey Protein Supplement Powders Creatively

If you are serious about building muscle mass or sculpting your body you most likely supplement your diet with commercially available whey or soy protein powders (and possibly other supplements). No doubt within a short period of time you discovered the protein shakes whey powders produce may not be the best tasting drinks you've ever had. Despite this you try to stick with them because your goal is a better body and a supplement shake that doesn't taste so great is simply a sacrifice you make.

people find that the flavor of the protein shake powder they paid a good money for quickly gets boring. If you are taking your protein shakes two or even three times a day it can become a real chore. This is when people start to experiment a little by adding other ingredients to make their protein shakes taste a little better.

You can soon turn your boring, often tasteless, protein shakes into mouth-watering bodybuilding or dieting delights. All you need to have to get started is a blender and a little imagination.

Choosing What to Put in Your protein Shakes

Before rushing off to your refrigerator to blend everything in site, let's go through some basic principles you will want to consider first. Not only do you want to create the best tasting shakes but you should also aim to make the most effective protein shakes for your dieting requirements. This is important because there is no point throwing full fat ice cream, chocolate sauce, peanut butter and full fat milk all together to create a wonderful tasting fat gaining shake. You need to be a little wise when choosing your ingredients.

So what kinds of ingredients make good choices for your shakes? I recommend using the following tips when getting your ingredients from the supermarket or refrigerator:

  1. Try to keep as many of your ingredients as natural as possible. A good example of this is using natural peanut butter instead of regular peanut butter. The natural version has better protein content and also natural fats that are important in your diet.
  2. Fresh fruit should be used whenever possible. Fruit contains the carbohydrates that will fuel your workouts and your day. The complex sugars in fruit are important to any diet (unlike the simple sugars in sweets, sodas, etc).
  3. Think about ingredients that will boost your shake's protein content. For example, you could throw a handful of nuts into the blender for a little extra protein without making the shake much thicker. You could add a few raw egg whites (if you are worried about eating raw eggs you may be able to find treated egg whites in cartons at your supermarket). You could always simply dump an extra scoop of whey powder in there as well.
  4. Make sure you have enough liquids. If you get a little too carried away you may discover your shake is easier to eat with a spoon then drink from a glass. When you first start creating your shakes it is a good idea to add your liquids (water, fat-free milk, fruit juices, etc.) in stages so that you get your desired consistency.
  5. Examine the nutritional information for each ingredient and consider the impact it will have on your dieting goals. For example, you may be opting for fat free (skimmed) milk if you aren't trying to gain weight.
  6. Always know what your goal is and make your shakes accordingly. If you are trying to shed the fat you will be skipping the types of ingredients that add too many carbohydrates and fats while trying to increase the protein content.
  7. Think of how you might create a unique flavor. You can try things like cinnamon, vanilla, honey, coconut milk, etc. Once you get the hang of this you will see the possibilities are endless.

Making Your protein Shake

Once you have decided on the ingredients for your shake you are ready to start. It couldn't be simpler and if you can make toast you won't have a problem. It's a good idea to think about the order in which you will add your ingredients into the blender. Always add your main liquid source first so that everything else you add afterwards is easily blended. Following this, add your protein powder and give your blender a quick 'burst'. now you are ready to add the rest of your ingredients and blend until you get the right consistency. At this point you may want to add a little more liquids to tweak your shake's thickness. Throw in five or six ice cubes to make your shake more refreshing.

now you can let your imagination invent all sorts of bodybuilding and dieting concoctions that make your supplement shakes a great deal tastier. Don't forget to share your creations with friends at the gym and people across the world through the internet. You will also discover many ideas other people come up with to inspire you further.
